Westward Light
My name is Jesse Peery, I’m an American born photographer now living on South Africa’s wild western coastline. I am inspired by these windswept, rugged landscapes, the infinite moods of the ocean, the land and, of course, the people and animals. It’s a vibrant place that feels real, down to earth. It’s been inspiring me to catalogue as much of this beautiful place as I can.

My Journey
I grew up on sail boats in the Bahamas, and in the mountains of Colorado. I always had a love of travel, seeking, and self discovery. My adventures have led me far and wide, from diving for Spanish treasure in the Caribbean, to exploring the Shamanic world in the jungle of Peru. My passion is nature in all it’s varied forms, but the love of my life is chasing light, travel, adventures, of seeing what’s around the next bend. I am a seeker and explorer by nature. That’s what inspires me to master the art of photography, capturing the light reflected in nature, in the nature of people, and deep within our own spirit.
About Me
